Product Details

Premium quality leathers

We only use the finest eco friendly vegetable tanned, chromium free "A" grade leathers procured from best tanneries in order to produce high quality and durable shoes. This particular one is a premium buff calfskin leather which as been treated ready to accept the unique colouration applied by our master craftsman.

Hand finished leather upper

This shoe features a premium quality waxy leather that as a hand burnished treatment. First an antiqued treatment is applied before applying cream by hand then buffing and a final burnishing process for a richly detailed unique finish.

Soft calfskin lining.

We combine a soft calfskin leather lining with a printed cotton skeleton for comfort and breathability. Leather used on the lining, sock and collar is not only luxurious but improves comfort and gives the shoe strength and support in the key areas.

Hidden comfort.

Our shoes truly break the misconception that smart shoes cannot be comfortable. We purposely set out to manufacture the most comfortable shoes available. We have achieved this by adding a little more volume within the shoe to then allow more foam padding to be added under the sock then traditionally offered, this is further enhanced by a heel cookie which reduces impact shock through heel strike. Our hardwork is constantly rewarded by glowing feedback of the amazing comfort of our shoes.

Classic plimsoll unit.

Features a classic plimsoll bucket sole construction. Effortlessly versatile sole which can be styled with smart or casual attire. The sole is stitched to the upper and reinforced by cement adhesive for greater durability and lasting wear.

Subtle branding.

Every shoe in our collection is linked by consistent details which are intrinsically Goodwin Smith. This is manifested by the consistent use of a navy blue highlight detail typically found on the heel tap or top line collar, our famous stag logo is embossed to the heel our outside counter and also printed to the lining, The full logo is gold foil printed to the sock, debossed into the soles leather waist and rubber sole tread. Any shoes with a brogue detailed toe cap carries stylised GS initials within the exquisite brogue punching detail.
