My Bag

Up until the early 20th century, loafers had been the reserve of very rich households, where the upper class wore them simply for indoor leisure and comfort. The earliest, more mainstream loafer design can be traced back to 1908, when Norwegian shoemaker Nils Gregoriusson Tveranger introduced a pair of simple slip-on shoes. They caught fire (not literally), and soon everyone wanted a pair. Perfect for summer, loafers are light, simple and supremely comfortable. So we want to take a moment to thank Nils for starting it all - *raises glass*. Shop Goodwin Smith’s Loafer collection today...
