Product Details

Premium quality leathers

We only use the finest eco friendly vegetable tanned, chromium free "A" grade leathers procured from best tanneries in order to produce high quality and durable shoes. This particular one is a premium buff calfskin leather which as been treated ready to accept the unique colouration applied by our master craftsman.

Premium quality leather upper.

This shoe features an upper made from the finest aniline leather sourced from Italy's best tanneries. The upper is detailed by hand by a process of antiquing, cream and burnishing key areas to create a rich depth of colour and tone. Further complimented by finest quality cow suede used for the facings, toe and heel caps.

Soft calfskin lining

We combine a soft calfskin leather lining with a printed cotton skeleton for comfort and breathability. Leather used on the lining, sock and collar is not only luxurious but improves comfort and gives the shoe strength and support in the key areas.

Sports influenced sole unit

Flexible, light and durable TPR wedge sole unit with anti slip TPR tread. A smart casual option with all day comfort.

Hand cut leather selection.

In order to offer the best shoe possible we ensure that only the best sections of each leather hide are used for production. To achieve this the leather selection and cutting of each part are done by hand whilst much more laborious than using moulds or lazer we are able to avoid cuts, looseness or other unwanted imperfections from manifesting within the finished article.

Subtle branding

Every shoe in our collection is linked by consistent details which are intrinsically Goodwin Smith. This is manifested by the consistent use of a navy blue highlight detail typically found on the heel tap or top line collar, our famous stag logo is embossed to the heel our outside counter and also printed to the lining, The full logo is gold foil printed to the sock, debossed into the sole's leather waist and rubber sole tread. Any shoe with a brogue detailed toe cap carries stylised GS initials within the exquisite brogue punching detail.
